The cottage at Shoemakers was a delight to stay in. Every detail had been well thought out, showing the care and attention that went into its design. We felt right at home with all the comforts provided. the kitchen was clean and had everything we needed, and the downstairs bathroom was actually a convenient feature for me and my toddler. Stella, our host, was quick to resolve any issues and communication with her was excellent. We even enjoyed some delicious local takeaways and had a lovely night in, thanks to the cozy atmosphere of the cottage. Cons: Not obvious to find.

We recently stayed at Shoemakers Cottage for a few nights and absolutely loved it. The attention to detail in the cottage was impressive and it had all the home comforts we needed. Our stay was made even better by the fact that we could enjoy delicious local takeaways and bring our own drinks back to the cottage. The layout of the cottage, with the bathroom downstairs, worked perfectly for me and my toddler. The kitchen was simple, clean, and well-equipped. Stella, the host, was fantastic in addressing any issues and communication was excellent.

    100% Recommend this hotel.

The cottage itself was beautifully designed and had a cozy atmosphere. It was great that the bathroom was located downstairs, as it worked well for me and my toddler. the kitchen was simple yet clean, and it had all the necessary amenities. Communication with the staff, particularly Stella, was excellent and any issues were quickly resolved.

One thing that could be improved is the quality of the provided toiletries. the toilet roll and washing up liquid seemed to be of low quality and not very eco-friendly.

Quaint Building: Housed in a charming 19th-century building, this holiday home is like stepping back in time. The history and character of the place made our stay feel extra special, like living in our own little slice of history.

We recently stayed at Shoemakers Cottage and it was a delightful experience. The cottage itself is beautifully designed, with attention paid to every detail. We felt right at home with all the cozy comforts provided. We explored nearby towns like Deal, Canterbury, and Broadstairs on day trips, which added to the adventure of our stay. The communication with the owner, Stella, was excellent, and she promptly resolved any minor issues we encountered. While some local businesses were closed, we still managed to find hidden gems. The kitchen had all the essentials, making our stay convenient, and the fact that the bathroom was downstairs worked perfectly for our needs. The only improvement we could suggest is eco-friendly alternatives for household essentials like toilet paper and washing up liquid. we had a wonderful time at Shoemakers Cottage and would highly recommend it for a cozy and charming stay.
